Product Overview
Until now there has been no fast, safe way to remove disc brake hubs, and seal damage was hard to avoid. The new Kiene K-1380 Disc Brake Hub Handler changes that.
The K-1380 improves safety by eliminating awkward, heavy lifting. Plus, it eases all hub maintenance procedures - rotor, seal, and bearing replacement and cleaning.
The Hub Handler locks in to the hub's height and camber before pulling it off the spindle. After servicing, roll the hub straight back on with no damage to the seals and no heavy lifting.
Features Include:
- Prevents back injuries and improves safety
- Replace rotor, seals, and bearings with no heavy lifting
- Pinch handles allow for fast and simple adjustments of the tool's mounting plate to match the hub
- Works on disc brake hubs for semis, school buses, and other transit vehicles
- Compact design: 2' x 1-1/2' x 3'
- Pivot-to-floor design makes laying the tool and hub down for service easy
- Removable drip pan
- Speed nuts for quickly locking the tool to the hub
The K-1380 is designed for wheel hubs with an 11-1/4" stud pattern diameter. For Transit vehicles with the larger 13-3/16" stud pattern diameter see model K-1381.
The optional manual screw-style height adjuster is designed to lift and position hub/rotor for atypical situations. Such as when multiple hubs and rotors need to be removed rather than completing one wheel-end at a time. Or, when floors are uneven enough to require a significant adjustment during installation.
The Height Adjuster has no negative impact on the normal use and functionality of the K-1380. It can be installed and used every time, or installed and only used when needed.
